Parker’s Bio:

Parker MacIver Hinnenkamp is a seasoned organist, pianist, and music educator based in Duluth, Minnesota. With over a decade of professional experience, he began his musical journey at the age of 13, securing his first role as an Assistant Organist. Since then, Parker has contributed his talents to various churches, conducted ensembles, performed recitals, and delivered lectures on hymnody and sacred music.

Parker serves as the Cantor/Director of Music Ministries at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Duluth, where he leads a dynamic and inclusive music program. In addition to his church work, he provides private piano and organ instruction, with a particular passion for working with students with disabilities. Parker is dedicated to creating adaptive, supportive learning environments that empower all students to experience the joy and discipline of music.

Parker's academic background includes studies at the University of North Texas College of Music, where he specialized in organ performance under Dr. Jesse Eschbach, piano with Dr. Liudmila Georgievskaya, and sacred music under Drs. Josh Taylor and Michael Conrady.

An active member of the musical community, Parker has served on scholarship committees and held a position on the executive board of the Arrowhead Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. His professional affiliations encompass the American Guild of Organists, Organ Historical Society (recipient of the E. Power Biggs Fellowship in 2017), Church Music Institute, Association of Lutheran Church Musicians, and Music Teachers National Association.
