What You’ll Learn

Music theory lessons can include:

• Reading and understanding musical notation

• Scales, intervals, chords, and harmonic progressions

• Sight-singing and ear training

• Formal analysis of classical and contemporary pieces

• Counterpoint, part-writing, and figured bass

• Preparation for AP Music Theory, entrance exams, or college-level coursework

Lessons are available in person (Duluth area) or online via Zoom. Weekly or biweekly scheduling is available. Materials and assignments are provided based on the student’s level and learning style.
